Chubby World set to open in Las Vegas Chinatown

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A long-empty corner in Chinatown Las Vegas is about to undergo one of the most dramatic transformations.

The Chubby Group, the hospitality powerhouse behind The X Pot, Chubby Cattle, and NIKU X, has announced its latest project: Chubby World, a 25,000-square-foot, multi-level Japanese-inspired food, retail, and entertainment plaza.

The site, once home to a Firestone Tire building, has sat vacant for years. Now, developers have said it’s set to become an immersive destination designed to feel like walking through a modern Japanese street district coming to the northwest corner of Spring Mountain Road and Valley View Boulevard.

Chubby World will span several themed levels, each built as its own attraction:

Fourth Floor — A theater space offering cosplay shows, anime events, cultural performances, and community programming.
Third Floor — A Tokyo-style food court designed to resemble the city’s narrow alleys, featuring a mix of Chubby Group concepts and partner vendors operating on a commission model.
Second Floor — A fresh market operated by Hashi Market with Japanese groceries, daily-prepared foods, and the developers’ project will be Las Vegas’s most affordable omakase, priced at around $49–$69 per person.
First Floor — Dedicated anime retail including blind boxes, Pop Mart, collectible figurines, and interactive, Instagrammable installations.
Basement Level — A 360-degree LED projection music hall built for concerts, DJ nights, and anime-themed nightlife events.
