Novi residents will be able to indulge in delicious Shabu Shabu and an immersive dining experience.
Mikiya, the beloved Los Angeles all-you-can-eat wagyu/seafood Shabu Shabu restaurant, is coming to Michigan’s first Asian mixed-use development, Sakura Novi, located at Town Center Drive and Grand River Avenue. A child-brand to the well-known Asian fusion hospitality brand Chubby Cattle, Mikiya’s name translates to good flavor and happiness.
Mikiya’s menu features premium all-you-can-eat options ethically sourced from independent and local farms. The broth, which is the soul of Shabu Shabu, is a delectable umami broth created with high quality ingredients.
“We’ve received such positive feedback in L.A., and we can’t wait to share this concept with the people of Novi,” David Zhao, Chubby Cattle’s Managing Partner, told What Now Detroit.
The new Novi Mikiya will be part of Chubby Cattle’s revolutionary NFT rewards program. Diners can mint the Chubby Cattle NFT collection, Free Food For Life, and redeem benefits including free meat, a free round of drinks for the table, priority reservation, private event accesses, and more.
“Our Chubby Club NFT and membership program can be used at all 20 locations under Chubby Group — so the rewards program covers all locations,” Zhao said.
Chubby Cattle is also in the process of opening 10 more locations by the end of the year, and another 20 locations by next year. The company aims to have 40 Mikiya locations total by the end of 2024, including the Novi store.
