This AYCE Duluth shabu-shabu is the equivalent of turning left on a plane. Like its sister restaurants (Wagyu House, Chubby Cattle BBQ), Chubby Cattle Shabu has a nice buffet offering a hearty wagyu brisket curry, self-service milk teas, and tiered menus that add on crab claws and silky premium cuts (including Australian and Japanese A5 wagyu). If we’re not in a millionaire mood, we prefer the Silver Wagyu Set, where $55 gets you plenty. Appetizers like rich and buttery roasted bone marrow or truffle-infused wagyu tartare kick things off with a bang. Then you get unlimited cuts of tender brisket, marbled and flavorful beef shoulder, and an even more decadent chuck ribeye (are we even chewing at this point?).
